Construction worker killed in crush incident
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
A construction worker was killed on Wednesday at a construction site north west of Kuala Lumpur after becoming pinned between an elevating platform and the building structure. Whilst usually a two person operation, the man had commenced operating the platform after the operator had left for a break. The man had been using the equipment to install ceiling panels but had misjudged the placement of the equipment and crashed into the building structure. The man sustained critical head and neck injuries.
Road worker killed by reversing vehicle

A 34 year old construction worker was killed on Wednesday at a road construction site on the Interstate 4 north of Orlando. The man was standing behind a fully laden dump truck when the truck backed up and ran over him. The man was declared dead at the scene.
Farm worker killed in entanglement incident
Utah, USA
A 30 year old farm worker was killed on Tuesday at a dairy farm in Hyrum, north of Salt Lake City, after becoming entangled in farming equipment. The man had been operating a tractor towing another item of farming equipment. The man became entangled in the moving parts of the equipment whilst dismounting the tractor. He sustained significant injuries to his torso and legs, and was declared dead at the scene.
Maintenance worker killed in elevator incident
Arkansas, USA
A 32 year old maintenance worker was killed on Wednesday at a university in Little Rock after an incident involving an elevator. The man had been working in an elevator shaft at the site when the elevator descended during routine operations and crushed the man.
Car salesman killed in test drive incident
California, USA
A 43 year old car salesman was killed on Tuesday in a single vehicle crash near Ontario in San Bernardino County. The man was a passenger during a test drive of a Corvette when the driver of the vehicle lost control and crashed into a tree. The man sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver sustained minor injuries and was arrested by local police following positive results from drug tests. The man is expected to be charged with driving under the influence of drugs, and manslaughter.
